The stage was set
And undoubtedly a brilliant performance was put in
I'll take a bow, showing my respect to you all
I hear people clapping
Screaming my name
I held my head high with pride
Trying to forget who I am
It drowned me..lifeless
Gasping for air
Knowing that it is a big fat phony
It was easier to fool you all
Knowing the shame's on me
It wasn't magnificent but was bitter
Wasn't the sound of applause
But the sound of betrayal
I have become what i feared that i would become
A god forsaken politician......
